Bruising

Is your elder one bruising easily? I was surprised to see a bruise on the wrist.

They have not received an IV and do not recall how the bruise happened.

I do not think anyone purposely hurt her, and she seems unbothered by it.

She is 90.

Is there anything to worry about regarding blood or easy bruising?

Non stop. Skin is very delicate, slightest bump can cause this. Skin is really like paper at that age.

extremely common. skin is very fragile at that age.

I’m older and can barely touch something without developing a bruise or red mark. They usually don’t hurt, they’re just noticeable.

My grandpa had terrible skin bruising and disfigurind from ages 90 to 94 when he passed. It wasn't fixable.

I am 75 and consider myself healthy. I bruise very easily.

Yes, constant bruising. Someone probably tried moving her by holding her wrist. Find the spots that are at least a little bit padded to do that kind of thing.

Yes. It can also be driven by medications. Blood thinners and others can lead to more bruising.

I'm 65 and bruise very easily. This has been the last couple years. I usually have no clue where/when I got them. They can be big and ugly. They heal within about a week.

I've been seeing bruises on my thighs since my 30s. I have no idea where they came from either. Now I am twice as old, I ignore all of them.
