Was hoping to go the last open house after the $200K price drop. Now it's under contract: https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/9225-Laurel-Oak-Dr-Bethesda-MD-20817/37256280_zpid/
Still out of our price range though. |
| 61 days on the market and was still overpriced. I hope they got a good deal on it. |
| It's pretty, but those pop the top things never feel right inside. The ceilings are still so low and cheap looking. The kitchen cabinets look really old and need to be redone. You can do better. |

When was it renovated /top popped? Trying to figure out who spent the money on the (very nice) reno - current owners that bought in 2024 for $1.27m? I’m assuming the current owners renovated it, but that’s at least a $500k renovation, right?
So they’re in it for $1.7m or so? |
| https://www.longandfoster.com/rentals/9225-Laurel-Oak-Drive-Bethesda-MD-20817-364663312 This is the listing before the reno. Looks like skylights were opened up but no top popped. |
| I liked the kitchen before. |
| No big loss. That’s a 70 year old house, I can smell the mustiness thru the pictures. Also it’s outside the beltway at the Cabin John bridge. Which means the traffic will be bad no matter the direction or the time of day. |
| This is a very basic house with a bad reno. |
| I guess I’m in the minority, but I love the reno. Lovely and cohesive. |
| This house is very close to the 495, and so the traffic noise could be pretty bad. |
|
Ugly musty should have been torn down

I hate the AI staging.
It's fine, but very basic. |
| I really like it. |
| Cheaply done flip. |
| Oh I love this house. |
