Death by Lightning Netflix.

I did not babe shedding a tear for James Garfield on my bingo card for today but here we are.

Fantastic series. Fantastic cast. I’m sure there are myriad inaccuracies but it did a great job of bringing the people and the times alive.

Binged it in a day. Not a subject I was at all interested in, but the cast sold it completely. Brilliantly told story!

I feel sad that now when you type Garfield into Google, the first hit is an irascible orange cat who hates Mondays and loves lasagna.

I am two episodes in and it’s so good.

I wish they would keep going with Chester’s presidency. This was really well done and agree about the cast. Lots of talent!

^^ another fan here, and the book was even better. I highly recommend both!

I didn’t realize this was out—thanks for posting. Time to re-up my Netflix subscription.

Haven’t watched yet, but you all are convincing me.

He has a large, gorgeous memorial in the same cemetery where my parents are buried.

More is accurate than you might have imagined.

Like the first doctor on the scene was black, and he later questioned the white doctor’s lack of hygiene (which proved to be the president’s real cause of death).

Is it in Ohio?

Great cast and well-acted. I found the first two episodes quite funny.

Nick Offerman was a bit of Ron Swanson cosplaying Chester Arthur at times, but he pulled it off and this was a great series.
Matthew MacFayden is the assassin's total doppelganger and should get an award just for his American accent.

Loved this series! Wish it could have been longer. Went down the Garfield rabbit hole, and there were so many stories they could have told—Garfield’s alleged affair with Kate Sprague, Conklingbeing chased by Kate’s outraged husband, etc.

I had to look up the cast because I didn't instantly recognize that it was him! And his speech is perfect. His character is funny and unstable and messed up. Just listening to him, his articulation and cadence is like Adam Driver and it's absolutely cracking me up.
