What data to ask for more services?

I have a 6 yo with CP and he has his P/T conference tomorrow. I am worried that he may be falling behind his group. He does not have intellectual disability but has a lower average IQ and has academic struggles. Last year (in K) he had daily pull outs in his IEP, both 1:1 and small group, plus OT weekly and speech and language 3x/week. He also had a very seasoned, no-nonsense, engaged teacher. He went from being really far behind to almost caught up, and then after summer tutoring, met all the K standards. He no longer gets any IEP services this year except for speech. He scored in the 40th percentile for math iready and 50th for reading iready in the fall assessment, so does not qualify for any Tier 2 interventions this year either (he may be getting a small group once a week but the teacher has been ambiguous about this). In his most recent report card, he got a 1 in narrative writing and 2s in phonics/encoding and addition/subtraction. He got a 3 (meets standard) in phonological awareness.

At home, I have seen him really struggling to understand the most basic word problems. He is pretty reliable with reading CVC words or CCVC words but he is far away from trying to sound out and write an actual sentence (or even a combination of 2-3 words). His letter formation is also deteriorating -his teacher last year was very strict about that and his handwriting was fine. Neuropsych said no dyslexia, no dyscalculia.

DS HATES getting pulled out and is very concerned about appearing like everyone else. But I of course am nervous that without all the same support he had in K, he will slip behind rather than maintain his level of barely albeit still meeting grade expectations before starting the next grade. Do I just have to wait until his 2nd iready in Jan/Feb? And see if his percentiles are slipping? Or is there other data I can use to advocate for more services?
