Consolidated WAS Airport Conditions / Flight Impacts during ATC Reduction

If you’ve flown out of any of the three WAS Airports since the ATC market reductions, please provide observations regarding general airport info (eg, TSA lines, airline lines, crowds, etc). Please provide the day and time you were there. Obviously, the most up to date info is most useful for those of us flying out.

I am scheduled to fly out of IAD Tuesday afternoon on Delta.

I flew out of DCA at 7am Friday. From curb to gate through precheck it was about 8 minutes. I guess I missed the madness getting out that early. Worried about my return flight from LAS on Monday.

With AI and advanced scheduling systems, easy to fix capacity adjustments with early warning. I wonder if airlines are trading passengers — has anyone been booked on a different carrier?

Im at DCA now (5am on Sunday) and no line at security but the AA lounge seems busier than usual.

This is PP. I landed and was off plane at MCO by 9am--25 minutes early. No issues at all.

Flew into DCA from the west coast yesterday on direct American flight. Delayed multiple times on departure ending in arriving over 2 hours late. They said it was air traffic delays and we were waiting on a landing slot in dc. Bags took over 45 minutes to get but I’m pretty sure it’s just the lazy dc baggage handlers with no sense of pride in their jobs.

Same scheduled time United flight to Dulles was on time. I’m sticking with Dulles from now on.

Flight cancellations are not overblown. It would make sense that if there are 10% fewer flights the airports would be less crowded.

My spouse flew from ORD to DCA today. He made it on time. Looking online, there are 12 United flights scheduled, 2 were canceled and a couple more had significant delays. My spouse said his flight was full with a long stand by list.

At DCA now. Sunday 2 pm, security was quick for Terminal 1. Waiting area is even more packed than usual.

No. Stuff is going into serious meltdown mode today (Nov. 9). There are a lot of cancellations today, and many five-hour delays.

BWI cancelled
Dulles cancelled

Either going into sfo or Denver
