I recently made a post in the fashion section and mentioned that I'm 5'6 (woman) and many responses referred to me as short.

I've always thought I'm on the taller side for women and now I'm mind blown that I might be short.

How tall are you and do you consider that short, average, or tall?

I consider 5’6” average-tall for a woman. It probably depends on her frame whether she looks smaller. I am 5’2”.

I'm 5'4" and consider myself short. I've always thought 5'6" was on the lower end of average. Definitely not on the taller side by any stretch.

I consider 5'6" pretty much dead average for a woman. I'd consider a woman 5'8" to be tall and a woman 5'4" to be short, and 5'5"-5'7" is the middle of the pack.

I'm 5'9", for whatever that's worth.

5'4" is considered exactly average in the Western World, and at the top end of petite in fashion.

I'm 5'6" and and feel short compared to men and average/slightly tall compared to women.

In heels i feel tall bc I'm eye to eye with many men, and above many women.

In flats I feel almost completely average.

I think of 5'4"-5'6" as totally average. Neither tall not short. On either side of this, you're either tall or short.

I thought average height of a woman at 5 foot 4 in the US. So I consider 5 foot 3 and below short, 5 foot 4 to 5 foot 6 medium, and 5 foot 7 and taller as tall.

I’m 5’9”. 5’8” and up is tall to me. 5’6”-5’7” is average. 5’5” and below is short. So I’d consider you on the short side of average.

Op, If I’m guessing the correct other thread, you were asking for dress recommendations. Many of the models in the dresses shown were 5’9” or 5’10”, so you are shorter by comparison but certainly not short.
