Sport? |
Ice hockey and lacrosse. |
Will be difficult to play both as seasons overlap. Have you considered looking outside of the northeast? Kenyon and Denison both seemed very social when we visited with our lacrosse kid (not sure either has hockey). |
| Trinity |
| There are social kids at all of them. Just go to the best one you get recruited to. |
| Is the kid aiming to be recruited for either sport, or just looking for colleges with high level club and intramural play? |
| Anecdotally, athletes are generally social even at schools that are not otherwise that social. |
Potentially recruited in one but wants at least club level play. Wants to be at a school where other kids like sports in general. Work hard party hard (within reason) environment. |
Ice Hockey and Lacrosse? NESCAC is a no brainer if they can get in. Union, Hobart, St Lawrence if you need to look lower. |

Denison has club hockey. I’m not sure how good the team is but Steve Carell played hockey when he was there. Denison President Weinberg played hockey at Bowdoin, and his nephews are NHL players Jack and Luke Quinn. It’s definitely a social school. https://www.nhl.com/news/hughes-brothers-jack-luke-quinn-to-face-off-when-devils-play-at-canucks In the NESCAC Wesleyan has D3 hockey and lacrosse. I think varsity ice hockey is pretty intense. |

This survey-based site lists schools with the "friendliest students":

| OP is aware of what schools actually offer these sports and at what level. Looking for which schools are most social. |
