| Stars Sarah Snook. One ep in, pretty meh on it so far. Anyone else watching? |
|
Saw this review on NPR yesterday, but have not seen the show. The review made me want to watch (or read the book the show is based on.)

| This was good. Sarah Snook is incredible. Reminds me of Mare of Easttown |
|
Watched episode 1 last night and I’m hooked. At times it feels a little over the top drama wise almost veering into soap opera territory, but so many great people in it and the story is good.
I’ll probably binge the rest this weekend. |
| This show is excellent - watch it!!! |
| I loved it. There were so many plot twists I didn't see coming. Sarah Snook of course was wonderful, and so was the rest of the cast. The whole show just felt very sensitive and subtle, aside from the whole "working mom" angle which was a little heavy-handed at times though true. Dakota Fanning constantly taking personal calls during meetings drove me crazy. The quiet luxury wardrobe was just perfect and I also loved the sets and exteriors. |
This is a great DCUM show. in a month, this thread will have 20+ pages. Great work OP! |
| I've only watched the first episodes but it reminded me so much of the British series The Stolen Girl. It starts the same, the wealthy mom goes to pick up her child at a supposed play date which was fake, and her daughter has been kidnapped. |
Op here. Yes I think that's why I was 'meh' after ep 1, because it started so similarly to TSG. Will keep an open mind and watch more this weekend! |
| Yes incredibly similar to The Stolen Girl. But this was really good and such a great binge! We need more shows like this. |
| I am halfway done this series and am hooked. I enjoy all the different lenses of parenting roles and responsibilities subtly and not so subtly woven through out. The way the different women are portrayed to be at fault for things that have gone wrong at first look… especially appreciated when the detective asked one of the fathers his impression of the referrals for the nanny they hired after lambasting his wife. |
| Episode 4 was terrible. The one about his son. Just so boring. |
|
First few episodes had me hopeful I’d found a good dramatic series. But now it’s going off the rails.
Maybe it’s still fun and entertaining? But it’s lost me. |

I absolutely loved it. I found it so bingeable. I won’t give spoilers, but I found some of the side plots distracting. Like I didn’t really care so much about the backstory with peters’s family. I get that some of it was to paint the full picture of what is going on, but I would’ve loved to skip over some of those parts.
I mean is the whole thing really plausible? Again no spoilers but some of it was clearly far-fetched and you had to take it with a grain of salt, but I found it really entertaining. I also just really loved Dakota Fanning and some of her diatribes to her husband. |
