Any details on the size of this new facility and the programming? Is it only two fields? Is this a private venture or will Arlington teams use this new training center?

I believe it is owned by the club, but could seem them renting it out for extra income.

Come on we are talking about Arlington VA. Land big enough for 1 big field and 1 small field would be worth 10s of millions of dollars. Its in a small warehouse.

Didn’t say full 11v11 field but one bigger field and 1 smaller field. I imagine the smaller one is the size of futsal court.

Bethesda has 5 5x5 turf courts. It appears Arlington will be smaller but that is to be expected with the location.

My guess it’s 1 futsal size court and another one that is double size futsal court so maybe about 3 futsal courts size

The rub will be charging enough teams/ players or to hold enough events to continue to pay for the facility. Also, what comes with that is finding and employing qualified coaches to hold meaningful sessions. I have witnessed one club having a hard time with that and I wouldn't say the quality of coaching hasn't been that high, just above rec level.

While I imagine it will be a good new asset, it will be one that must be maintained and paid for from the coffers of the parents.

There are multiple places depending on the year and season for pre-ecnl boys and girls. Besides Long Bridge other practice locations could include Gunston Kenmore TJ VA Highlands. Most locations are South Arlington.
