ADHD resources for parents

Anonymous
We do not have a diagnosis yet but likely forthcoming for my early elementary daughter. I am looking for some guidance on good resources for understanding adhd, treatment / parent scaffolding, how to manage different situations (transitions, defiance, etc) and not sure where to start. Any help would be appreciated and I’d love to get DH on the same page.

How to ADHD is a helpful YouTube channel. Also ADHD Guy. Seth Perler is an executive function guru. CHADD is also a helpful website.

Also Additude newsletters and podcasts

I liked Scattered Minds by Gabor Mate; less of a how-to manual and more understanding how ADHD can manifest and some broad strokes of what works (and why it can be hard as a parent to provide)

The early episodes of How to ADHD were especially helpful for me and some I had my kids watch, too. The more recent ones are interesting but not as jam packed of useful info and tips IMHO.

The book ADHD 2.0 was pretty useful, too.
