| Line was wrapped halfway around the Mount Vernon government center, it was really nice to see. |
| Winsome doesn’t stand a chance. |
| Don't count on that. I have been alarmed by the number of Winsome signs lining Route 29 between DC and Charlottesville. I hope Spanberger pulls it off but that dem AG candidate is going to be a drag on her. |
I wouldn’t assume everyone early voting is a Dem. We early voted all Rep in Arlington (which I think went 20% for Trump in 2024, so 1 out of 5 voters). Also Fort Hunt (where I think OP voted re the location they mentioned?) is a Republican enclave - we know a ton of republican staffers and lobbyists who live there. |
| I think the MAGAs underestimate the 'laid off federal worker and contractor" vote. |
Alarmed? |
Sings don't vote. Also, the energy is very high in traditional democratic areas and low in traditional GOP areas. |
True signs do vote. But the absence of signs in NOVA speaks volumes. As does the projections of early voting - https://www.vpap.org/visuals/visual/timeline-of-early-voting-by-party/ |
| Pissed off feds are coming out in full force. |
How do they know how many Dems vs Rs voted so far? I thought VA didn’t track party registration (just moved here though so please correct me if I’m wrong). Are they basing it on location and guessing political affiliation based on that? |
We drive through various parts of rural VA weekly for falls sports. There are SIGNIFICANTLY fewer Sears signs this year than there were Youngkin signs. And we did see quite a few homes that had local R officials but no Sears. Maybe they are realizing that MAGA isn't the solution. |
Spanberger isn't going to hire them. |
Agreed. Youngkin had way more support in this area. |
This. Particularly signs placed by campaign operatives in the medians of highways. |
Maybe they are actually independents. |
