My gyn has suggested I try vaginal estrogen twice a week plus progesterone cream at night to help with symptoms. How has vaginal estrogen helped you? I’m curious which symptoms it will help with.
Someone just posted a similar q earlier this week. Lots of similar info. Search box.
It helped me with vaginal dryness that made intercourse extremely painful (even with using lubrication). It’s also protective against UTIs.
+1 Helped with vaginal atrophy, burning, bleeding and micro-tearing during sex, also bladder urgency and leaking. I think it actually also helped with my gluteal tendinitis… I guess that is local enough for it to reach. |

It helped a little with vaginal dryness. But the estrogen patch works 95% better. Use both now.

Has anyone noticed it improves their hair? The hair on their head, I mean?

Is it normal to only be prescribed estrogen and not progesterone? Should I go back and ask my dr?
Yes! I have the suppository.
If it is only vaginal estrogen, yes, if it is a patch or other systemic estrogen then you need progesterone unless you have the iud that has progesterone.
It helps with vaginal dryness and thinning. Makes sex not painful
