Will this affect the US decision to have tariffs on these cars?

That’s a great question. The demand for quality EVs at the $25,000 price point would be huge. Alas, Americans don’t get that opportunity bc of tariffs and protectionism. So it’ll be $50,000 for basic combustion engine cars for many years. Meanwhile, the rest of the world moves on.

Welcome to Canada BYD. You can buy two of those EVs for the price of a Tesla

You have to pay maga union members $15,000 tax so they can continue to make gas cars and trucks while voting for Trump. Its the law!

China has over 200 car domestic manufacturers plus all the foreigners manufacturers with yearly new car sales of over 35 million. The US car market has 6 if you count Tesla who makes most of their cars in China. The US new car market is 16 million.

I've been in plenty of them in Asia. They're just as boring and uninspired as you'd expect... totally unremarkable.

The price does not sound boring or uninspired.

+1 America is car dependent and people need it to get to work in the majority of the country. If someone comes and sells a car for half the price of everyone else people will buy it.

These cars come standard with lidar for auto driving.

I guess most people would not like saving $30,000 on a car?
