It has felt really weird. They are cute but too much in the limelight all of a sudden.

Seems really clueless or looking to stir up trouble to post that. My husband and I have some really tasteless inside jokes between us, but they are for our consumer only and we know better than to share outside our relationship!

IMO, it seems like he tears her down a lot in the name of “being real” or in the guise of “poking fun” but comes off like he hates her.

This. I would totally say this to my husband, but would never post it on social. That was her mistake.

I think they're ok... just a weird sense of humor. They've done a good job protecting their kids from the limelight.

I find them both really annoying in their public personas, especially him. But there's no indication this recent issue has had any negative impact on their marriage. It was just a screw up because Bell made the joke at the worst possible time (during DV awareness) right before she was supposed to promote the second season of her rom com. So she's been MIA during promotion because obviously they decided it would be better for her to lay low.

The thing about these two (and one of the reasons I find them so annoying) is that they seem to really embrace their deep personality flaws as part of their relationship. My brother and his second wife are like this. It's like "omg we're both such selfish, narcissistic screw ups -- we're perfect for each other!" And in a way they are, but it also makes them insufferable to be around.
