Looking for advice on The Diener School-MD

DS is on the spectrum (mild to moderate). We are really looking for advice on keeping him in general education kindergarten with his IEP versus investing the resources in sending him to Deiner for a few years. Any parents that have experience with Diener or other similar private schools in the DMV please do leave your thoughts here. Thanks!

My kid goes to school with a lot of former Diener students. I would hold off as long as possible because the middle years are harder socially.

My child with low support needs autism does well at Diener and was seriously bullied in upper elementary in MCPS. I wish we’d moved them sooner. Sometimes you don’t know how bad it got until they’re out and feel safe enough in the new environment to tell you.
