| Seeking recommendation for a yoga studio in Bethesda for beginner 45yr old female. Looking for weekend classes only. TIA |

You could try the C1 class at the Corepower studio on Wisconsin if you are looking for a place that offers fitness focused heated classes.
Or down the street in Chevy Chase is Circle Yoga and they have Yoga Level 1 classes. These will be more on the gentle side. |
| Sweetbay or Simon Says Yoga are more welcoming to a newbie. If you’re willing to go to Potomac, then Potomac Flow beginner classes. |
| Thanks - for both suggestions. |

Strongly recommend PureFire Yoga in the woodmont triangle. They give a nice cold towel after class. I live in VA but had to go to Maryland weekly this past spring and would take the 4:30 tuesday class for $20
I cannot find a similar studio in VA

Pure fire and Soulfire both offer intense, hot yoga classes that are EXCELLENT but perhaps not what you are looking for.
If you’re looking for something truly introductory, try Circle Yoga (which people rave about) or search for a studio offering an intro series. When I was starting yoga, I did a 6-week intro course that taught all the basics and I found it invaluable, both for learning proper form and etiquette, but also for building my confidence to walk into any yoga class. Yoga by Adrienne has a great intro series. |
| Highly recommend SoulFire for beginners. It's a very "do what your body needs" community and it allows you to learn the movements at your own pace. Plus, their "liberation" section of each class is pure joy. |
| Montgomery county rec offers yoga. I find I have to really click with a yoga instructor (even on this thread you can see different approaches to yoga) so you may or may not find one you like but it’s a low cost way to start. |
| PS Yoga by Adrienne is online and I agree she is excellent |

Not in Bethesda, but close by in Potomac there's a new Yoga six studio that has 101 classes and slow flow classes, both of which would be good for beginners.
