Meghan Markle thread

I don't think a thread attacking a woman's body and, basically, her entire life, should be allowed to remain up. That's what's going on in the Meghan Markle thread, where toddlers are shrieking gleefully about her "chicken legs" and "refrigerator body" and calling her skeletal. They're also repeating lies that can only have come from Reddit hate subs and the notoriously dishonest Daily Mail. To wit, the thread repeated the lie about Meghan's short-term contractor Emily Robinson leaving because Meghan's difficult, instead of the truth, that Emily's short-term contract was up (which the Sussexes' PR person has clarified to People mag for anyone honest to read). You cleaned up some of it, but the general tenor and many of the body-shaming insults remain.

Meghan's been the subject of a vicious and dishonest hate campaign for at least seven years. At times, it seems like this stuff surfaces when the BRF needs distractions from things like Andrew's pedo revelations. How on earth is there a thread about Meghan's body instead of a thread about Andrew emailing Epstein about "playing again soon"?

And I say all this as someone who didn't really like her show. But I have the maturity to shrug and change the channel instead of running to hate subs for hate fodder.

Nah I agree with the OP. People are especially petty and gross about Meghan Markle, especially given how little news there is about her compared to Jen Hatmaker (since you provided the example).

No, the Blake Lively thread is concerned about actual issues like consent and PR games. The Markle thread is just playground bullying about her body.

Not that OP but I also think the anti-Lively posters take it too far and need to examine why they have such strong feelings about a celebrity. Both threads have terrible people in them, but the Markle ones always go way beyond.
