Long floral dress but natural fibers

Anonymous
I’m looking for a long dress that is:

floral or similar

is at least sleeveless (no spaghetti straps or tube top style)

Suitable for a very short person

Good for a warm weather resort “wedding event”

I’ve searched for 2 weeks and 90 of what I find is polyester and the rest is viscose or spandex or other material that makes me break out. Any leads? Wedding is coming up and I’m getting nervous!!!

How do you feel about rayon. I have one of those cheap Amazon dresses and I actually love it and I have worn it dozens of times at so many resorts and vacations and it was also worn in an episode of "Dead to Me" which is how I found it.

Factory J Crew sometimes has floral dresses that are cotton. Not really in season now, but you could check eBay etc. I have bought one each spring summer season the last few years

I can think of a million stores and designers that have silk and/or cotton floral dresses. Is the reason you are having trouble a low budget and need a petite size??

Please be more specific about what you are trying to find.

What is your budget?
What is your dress size and do you need petite? Do you have time for alterations if necessary?
What is your body type and what silhouettes and colors flatter you?
What is the dress code of the wedding? Are you looking for something that has a resort look to it?

I cannot tolerate synthetic fibers, and buy most of my clothes on Poshmark. I have found multiple pretty, cotton, flowery, long dresses over the years, all with defined waists, because that's the style I like. Several are from LoveShackFancy (some designs are really out there, I found ones that were a little more restrained). I have Celina Moon and Anthropologie ones too.

I have this dress! Saw it in that episode. Linda C rocked this dress with cowboy boots. I googled and found it. I got it in the long version. I was around $30 five years ago and I get compliments whenever I wear it.

Boden has a lot of cotton.

I have a Boden maxi dress that basically fits this but has long sleeves. I'm sure there's similar with short or no sleeves, and a slightly darker color would make it look more formal for a wedding.

Me again I also got the short version for my daughter and it’s adorable on her.

Boden for cotten and/or linen.

For these types of items, I would consider going to a seamstress, picking a pattern and ordering some silk Liberty yardage.

La Double J might also have some styles you would like.

Faherty has some nice ones.
