My pollinator garden and yard just got sprayed by a mosquito spray company.

The guy was hired to spray a yard three houses down. He just went to the wrong house. There were so many pollinators on all late blooming plants. Lots of those little metallic colored bees. Butterflies are in the yard now and I had a fish pond. He said it was organic!

Frustrated!

If this is not a troll this guy should get fired.

Complain and sue if necessary. If you don't make it hurt for the careless company, what motivation do they have to do better in the future?

Wow. Shocking that people spray this poison around and don’t even bother checking the house. I would be way more than frustrated.

I had this happen too. I called the company and ripped into them and told them they were trespassing and told the workers that their bosses were potentially putting them in danger by having them trespass.
Anonymous
Honestly I’d probably sue them too and try to get them shut down.

I just walked around the yard and feel like sh#t. All the things I planted to attracted pollinators are now killing them. There are like three Black Swallowtail flying around, honeybees, bumblebees, small metallic bees, etc.

There are also so many moths at night.

I am going to hose off the things in bloom.

You need to hose everything off ASAP, before it has a chance of seeping into the soil.

I'm so sorry OP. I would be incandescent with rage. I've never sued anyone, but that might be what it takes for me. You're doing your best to address a genuine ecological crisis with what you have, and some careless, science-illiterate profit-seeker comes and reverses all your work.

Where's it going to go?

Name the company, OP.

Not that I think people who hire these companies will care, but companies spreading toxicity around willy-nilly shouldn't be protected.

Organic will still kill everything. What a moron.

Take a weed wacker to it or mow it. Better than poisoning the remaining insects before winter.

Spray off the plants so they can get their food without being poisoned.

Like what? I don't see any bees or butterflies any more. Too cold. Are you in south like FL or GA?
