Test-taking curricula for improving middle school test scores (MAP, MCAP)

Anonymous
I would be grateful for recommendations, especially from school teachers and administrators, regarding test-taking curricula for middle schools. I would like to find/purchase materials that help students develop basic test-taking skills to improve their performance on any type of standardized test. These products need not be Open Source, proprietary would potentially work, too. This would be for an MCPS middle school. Many thanks in advance.

Maybe look at successful schools. Certainly not ours.

For MAP tell the kid to show down and be extra careful in the first 10 questions. It is an untimed test and those are the ones that affect the score the most

Getting better at these test is about the following:
1). Exposure and understanding of content
2). Building stamina for reading and comprehension.
3) Learning to use and synthesize information

MAP is not time and MCAP test that students know and can use grade level concepts deeply and effectively.

Have kids read a variety of books and ask them about the books. Detailed questions. Get logic or strategy books or games. Master the content being taught.
