He says he’s leaving Dec. 1, before his term ends. Anyone know why? |
| Moving on to something that hasn't been released yet. |
| He said professional opportunity, will advise what next week. |
| He's been there 7 years, that is why. |
| Anyone else think it will be a high-paying job in the county government? |
| Just saw that the interviews will be in closed session, followed by interviews in open session. I can’t help but think that means the real interview will be another back-room deal. I’ve been disappointed in Kate Stewart. So many important discussions happen behind closed doors. Glass was better about transparency and Friedson was not great but not as bad as Stewart. |
| Spend Moore lost a third of his staff maybe Gabe got a job under him since the pay is twice as much as county pay. |
| CASA |
| Wow. Director of Recreation. I'm surprised. The next CE could just dump him. |
After 7 years on council, he wants to "retire" to Rec |
Why is that a "wow"? That's literally his previous job. |
Exactly why I said. He is being appointed by a lame duck. He's at the mercy of the next CE. |
| The next CE may be one of his pals on the Council, as many of them are running. They'll keep him in place. His new positino is hardly controversial, nor is it coveted. |
I don’t remember this job being posted or competed. Everyone lost their minds when Elrich tried to give Craig Rice a job. |
Right. By all accounts he gets along with the rest of the council so whether it is Friedsen, Jawando, or Glass- theyll keep him on. And from what I can tell he did a decent enough job at it, and as you said was not controversial. |
