I just took (thin) boneless chicken breasts out of the freezer and would like to cut them into strips (faster defrosting) and marinate them to grill for dinner.
Any suggestions for a marinade? We have soy sauce, olive oil, garlic, the usual spices on hand (but not yogurt which is my usual go-to). Thanks in advance. |
| Sounds tacky but I use Kraft Zesty Italian Sald Dressing. Its a really good marinade!! |
| Yep, bottled italian dressing is a great marinade for chicken! I use it all the time. |

This is tasty and and a bit different:
2 tablespoons vegetable oil 1/2 - 1 tsp. curry powder 1/4 - 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon 1 tsp. ginger powder 1 tsp. garlic powder 2 tablespoons brown sugar 3 tablespoons soy sauce 1 tablespoon fresh-squeezed lemon juice 2 tablespoons chicken broth |
| Balsamic vinegar, crushed garlic, olive oil and chopped rosemary. This is really good with lots of garlic! |
| I do the above also, but with white balsamic vinegar and basil. Also good is to sub lemon juice for vinegar, but you can't leave it on too long or it will start to "cook" the meat |

Thanks so much! Trying the salad dressing one today, but I plan to give the curry one a whirl soon.
Thanks again! |

soy sauce and maple syrup makes an awesome flavor.
i also often just use bottled balsamic dressing. or sprinkle liberally with adobo seasoning (not marinade, but even easier and just as tasty) |
| I do the garlic, balsamic or lemon juice, rosemary and olive oil all the time. |
