College Transcripts sent by 11/1

Does anyone know what the counselors send for 12th graders by this early application date? Is it the Student Grades and Graduation Credit Report (which does not include any grades from the 2025-26 school year) or is there something different that includes interim 1st Quarter grades since these reports are due to be sent to colleges before the end of the 1st marking period ending 10/31 or do they send that day last minute?

I don’t think they include interims, only final grades. The deadline at our school to request transcripts to be sent by Nov 1st is tomorrow, so they send the transcript as of the end of junior year.

Not only do they not send 1Q interims, they don't send 1Q at all, unless by special request because the school wants it.

The transcript shows 9-11 and what courses they're taking in 12th. No grades from 12th.

No one needs to state this explicitly every year. The transcript is a specific document, defined by policy, which contains a record of completed courses and grades. It never included quarter grades shown in the report card.

Depending on the college, sometimes a deferral from early action to regular decision includes a request for a mid year transcript. Even if not requested, you can send one if you wish.

Some schools do require than interim or year end grades be sent as part of admission to be considered final. But, to others point, no one is sending Q1 grades that are not included on the transcript

You can email your child's counselor and ask for a copy of the transcript. It also includes summer school grades if any classes were taken over the summer. Some colleges require mid year grades as well. I think our school sends them to every college.
