We all need to read this WaPo piece about atypical marriages

This is an article about people with different sexual orientations entering into legal marriage in the full knowledge of each other's orientation or asexuality. Essentially, it's about love that transcends gender.

What a beautiful piece, and honest people living honestly.
I know it's probably not easy, but it should open our eyes to all the possibilities out there.

I could easily be happy in a Lavendar marriage.

I was recently with friend talking about Pansexuality and I truly think this is the ultimate love. You don't care about anything except the person's true self, you love their soul not their body or gender.

Fantasyland. Not real.

Ha, there’s a gay Influencer I watch who, because the US is threatening to ban gay marriage, has taken it upon himself to date the hottest women out there and ruin things for straight men.

Would not surprised me at all if Lavender marriages become more popular, especially with the most attractive straight women. They get an equal partner who treats them well and looks fantastic.

Good for them!

Either it's your fantasy and you're petty jealous, or it's not for you and you can't imagine anyone wanting something you don't. Either way, this is your L.

The irony.

I mean, who cares. If it works for them, that’s fine. Although some of these relationships do not seem like the best but that’s true of traditional relationships as well.

If my kid came to me and said they were doing this, I think I would likely discourage. But I don’t really care what other people do so long as no one is getting hurt. It’s much better than marrying someone without being honest about your sexuality!

Except it doesn’t work. Someone is not getting what they want and just pretending.

Asexual marriage is incredibly different from "sexual but not with spouse" marriage.

Asexual marriage is very, very common.

I want to be in a lavender marriage with Brandi Carlisle but I think that prob just means I’m a human.

My husband is fine though he is nice.

Not in the MAGA world, I have super conservative friends, and a good percentage of the men are gay men married to straight women.

So are a bunch of the Republican senators and congressman. I mean the ones that aren’t pedophiles.
