W&M Threads

Why are so many W&M threads deleted or locked these days? I’m interested in the school and lately it seems every time a new thread begins, it gets shut down. Is there one or many trolls? Super sensitive boosters who can’t handle dissenting views? What flags a thread for deletion? Why W&M?

First of all, it seems like there is a new thread started about that school every day. I am not sure why so many are required. Second, they all immediately turn to be exactly like every previous thread. Again, I don't know how many times folks need to read the same things. The threads get a lot of trolls and there is at least one sensitive poster who reports a ton of posts. Therefore, the threads become a huge headache for me. The trouble always seems to come in the evening like now. I really don't enjoy spending my evenings dealing with posts that are duplicates of ones I deleted the previous day. So, I lock the threads.

That makes sense. I’m sure it’s annoying to be on the other end. People post about it because it’s a popular school for kids in this area and parents are interested. And some posters are new to this board. Do other schools in the region get similar responses from trolls? Thanks for moderating this board, btw. It must be a huge job.
