Great Falls - pick your level
We have done the Potomac Heritage Trail and the Fairfax Cross County Trail in 4 mile increments. We would either walk a bit then turned around, or use two cars and park one at the end of what we wanted to walk and drive to where we wanted to start. You can vary the length to your needs. |

| In DC, the trails at Tregaron are short and really beautiful for being so close to a busy neighborhood. I love taking my dog for walks there |

| I love walking along the Anacostia river on the Anacostia Riverwalk Trail from the Kenilworth Aquatic Garden in either direction. Gorgeous. You have to watch out for bicycles, but I love seeing the deer and especially the birds. I've seen heron, a bald eagle and others. |
