Help with NEC choice

Anonymous
Current 8th grader in private but have been in MCPS previously ( prior to covid) and going back for HS.
ADHD
Loves sports/athletics.
Doesnt love academics but wants to be a PE teacher or run some kind of sports based business.
I’ve looked at all 3 schools online and none seem to really have programs she would be specifically drawn to, unless I’m missing something.
Which would you suggest and why.
I’m going to the open houses too.

Blake has a business and management pathway that might appeal if she wants to open a business.

If nothing is specifically appealing academically, then go for shortest commute. The extra time enables more involvement in sports and activities.

Paint Branch has that as well.

You’re not guaranteed a spot at any school except your home school. I believe PB is over enrolled but the other 2 are under. The open houses are promoted as if there’s really a choice, but many times, there’s not. There seems to be a teacher morale problem at PB and SB due to unpopular Admin.

Blake is more over-enrolled than the others.

For most athletics, it’s a toss up. For Poms and dance (not athletics) and theater, Blake hands down. I can’t speak to any of the others, but Blake was amazing for my kids. Definitely go to the open houses.
