Report card with “final grades” for 8th grader

Anonymous
We may be moving out of state for grade 9+ and I wanted to share my 8th grader’s report card at the close of 7th grade and early 8th grade as part of applications for potential new schools.

In ParentVue I only see the report card for each marking period but my kid had the occasional B which became As for him under the old grading policy in the averaging of marking periods.

How does one print out the report card that only has the “final grades” of my MS kid which would be all As rather than the MP report card?

TIA

Our school has a section of the website for how to get copies of your transcript. But you also can download copies of your report card in the documents section of ParentVue.

The report card from June would have the grades for all four marking periods and the final grades. HS classes in MS will have two final grades, one for the first semester and one for the second.

Sounds like you want a transcript. Otherwise the interim grades will show.

There isn’t a transcript generated until after 1st semester of 9th grade.

Reach out to your counselor- they should be able to pull a summary report, if what you see in Parentvue isn’t what you want.

Can't be the case. Our middle school has a section on the website for how to get the transcript -- you fill out a google form to get it sent.

OP just call over to your kid's former MS and find out how to do it.

Good luck getting into school your kid is so unqualified for that you feel the need to hide grades.

Getting final rather than marking period grades is what every single high school student in MCPS does and it was often advantageous under the prior grading policy. Good luck to you in life as you feel the need to be nasty and insult an anonymous kid.

No one insulted the kid. Insulting you for trying to game the high school admissions instead of looking for a mutual fit.
