When is the next vote?

I remember seeing guidance from OPM that furloughed employees could check their work email once a day (nominally to see if they had received a RIF notice) but now I can't find that guidance. Does anyone have a link?

I think they are voting now. Senate is out this weekend so earliest vote is next week.

So the earliest back to work would be Tuesday?

Unfortunately the Senate just voted against reopening the government.

They’re just voting on the same bill until the house is back in session, right? So, with 5 needing to flip, this is just theater?

Why unfortunately? Have the Republicans agreed to reign in Vought? There's no point in passing a budget or CR if he can overrule it at will.

I have not looked for it, so you will need to poke around.

My agency provided a guide with details. It says ‘May’ check so it’s not a requirement.

My office is still open. Using carryover funds until money runs out which is about 6 weeks we are told.

Because most feds are not political. They just want to go back to work.

They have to do something by mid October or the military misses a paycheck and thats not a good look for anyone. I suppose a standalone military pay bill is possible because I dont think anyone would vote against it.

Last shutdown was during Trump's first term and it went 34 days, the longest ever shutdown.
