Holton parents - you have got to help your girls out with these skirts.

I’ve now had the experience multiple times of sitting at Starbucks just drinking coffee with my kid and multiple Holton girls coming in to grab their drinks with skirts that do not cover their underwear in the back. Again. You can see their underwear in the back. From under the skirt. And don’t tell me that multiple people are wearing shorts this short. They are not. That would be wearing swimsuit bottoms. Look. It is unflattering and insane. Why on earth does the school tolerate this? I don’t want your a$s in my face, ladies. It’s just weird.

It’s so f’in uncomfortable for all the adults sitting there just like um … please put that away

They make the cheerleader skirts look dowdy. These skirts are belts. It’s gross.

It's just not a flattering uniform skirt, and I wore uniforms K-12. It looks like a pajama bottom and then there's a bunched up, wrinkled polo over it.

are they just rolling it before/after school? a common private school girl practice

How old are these kids? If they’re in 8th grade or older, I would assume they are doing it on purpose, unfortunately. We are still in the elementary years (not at HA) and I’m shocked at what moms are sending their 4th and 5th grade girls to school wearing.

They're spankies, like cheerleading shorts, not undies. Stop looking at kids, you perv.

I looked around the website and the pictures show bizarre uniform wearing. Some are super short as OP describes, other girls are wearing baggy jeans with the skirt on top? Or yoga pants with the skirt on top? Is this on normal uniform days, or some special wacky non uniform days?

They roll up the waist of the skirt. If adults are not around to get them in trouble for this. The girls intentionally make their skirt much shorter. Clearly worse now but they've been doing it to their uniform skirts for 50+ years.

But, but you're body shaming me!

I played field hockey in HS, and always felt somewhat self conscious with the lollypop underwear coverings.

And our skirts were mid thigh. I found it so refreshing and liberating to see that girls today wear spandex sports shorts underneath.

Are they wearing the spandex shorts underneath?

Hey at least it's an all girls school, so they aren't distracting the boys. You should see what the girls are wearing at my DS's MS. Butts hanging out and really short tight belly shirts.

I prefer that only one body part be hanging out, if you are exposing the legs, cover up the upper arms and belly. If you are showing belly, no legs, etc., At least these girls get that part right. It's always best to leave a little something to the imagination.

OP you are the problem. Let the kids be kids. They are covered up so what is the problem? Your own issues?

Going beyond the uniform issue, it's also an issue just buying normal clothes for girls! I have a pair of shorts from a fairly normal, modest mainstram label that I can't wear with longer women's briefs underwear, because the underwear runs longer than the shorts.

Yeah, that does look tacky.

Yikes I actually can’t believe they have that photo up on their website. Skirt length should be at least mid thigh in advertising materials…
