I know JTCC has a great reputation, especially for high-performance training, but I’m wondering if anyone with kids who aren’t super serious about tennis has had a good experience there? Is it still fun and welcoming for more casual players, or does it mainly cater to kids on a competitive track? My middle school daughter enjoys tennis but our county rec options aren't great, just looking for something to keep her active in the late fall/winter.
just go anywhere if not serious about tennis. It wont matter.
it'll be intimidating for her. it'd be like going to europe soccer academy for rec soccer classes
Our kid is much younger and I’m sure that makes a big difference but the vibes were very chill. I had the impression they have multiple tracks, but I don’t know what age things kind of get intense for everyone? But anyway for little kids, very fun and mellow. But reasonably organized/structured.

Given your goals for DD, I would pick the closest indoor tennis program to home or school. Don't overthink this.
If JTCC is closest, I'd go with them. They have a great pathway of classes for kids that are not super competitive. You can call the front desk and they will probably set up a time for your DD to be evaluated to see which of the classes she fits in. |
