| I will give an example. I eat three meals a day. Breakfast, a decent sized lunch, smaller dinner. I traveled with a friend recently who only eats two meals a day. Dinner only sometimes. Does the average American not eat three meals a day anymore? |
| Our family has a dessert every night. I learned on this website that its not normal? We are fit and exercise FWIW. |
| I realize now that everyone doesn't sing to themselves when alone. |
+2 I grew up with dessert after dinner daily. I instilled this with my kids. Echoing Op - athletic family and, fit & healthy |
It's shocking. I mean why wouldn't they? |
Lunch dessert every day so not so close to bedtime. Regardless when eaten, there's always a dessert/day. |
Maybe the kids do, but adults? Seems everyone is on a "diet" or has some type of food restriction nowadays. |
|
Apparently not everyone has stories and/or music running non-stop in the background of their brain. Sometimes in the foreground.
Yes, I know I have ADHD. Still, I expected non-ADHD people to have something, some sort of inner adventure happening. But no? |
| I learned that a friend’s in-laws expect to keep/sleep with the bedroom doors wide open on visits to grandparents. Kids, adults-everyone. That’s not normal! |
DP- Seems like many people do intermittent fasting where there's 16 straight hours where you don't eat. So you wont notice them eating at the "normal" 6am-12-6pm 3 meal times. |
| I’m not ADHD but often if someone asks what I’m thinking the surprising answer is a song! |
Non ADHD folks have things such as music too. They just aren't admitting it. Who doesn't sing in the shower? Please. |
I have to admit that I have no idea what you mean by background vs foreground of your brain. |
| That not everyone rehearses conversations/meeting in their head and/or replays them afterward. |
What? Where are they from? |
