Wesleyan is not what it was a generation or two ago. But let me give you a hint: the acronym for White Anglo-Saxon Protestant.

Forbes provided these examples recently:

"Many of the so-called Little Ivies are on this list, including Williams College in Massachusetts, which cracked the overall ranking’s top 10 for the first time this year, as well as Bowdoin College in Maine, Hamilton College in New York and Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania."

No, MAGA, it’s physically in Massachusetts, but can identify as being in New York if that’s what feels right at any given time.

The term Little Ivy tends to refer to formerly all-male colleges, especially those whose athletic teams now play in the NESCAC. Smith, as a Sister, can claim its own designation. I'd say the same for the other Sisters as well.

People associate Williams and Amherst with Wesleyan? Really? Wesleyan is several tiers lower and doesn’t really excel at…much.

The only one in that entire list is Swarthmore. The others are not. They are fine, but not ivy.
