I'm a very senior associate, close to partnership level, and I hate hate hate business development. I'm also feeling very burned out with the unpredictable hours, being on call all hours of all days, etc. I'm considering the idea of jumping to another firm to a true part-time role, if that's even a thing. I don't want to try 80% hours as an associate or whatever, as I'm certain I'll work just as much and get paid less. I'm good with taking a severe pay cut if it means I can keep true part-time hours (6-7 hour days), and I understand I'd be doing more basic work and lose my career trajectory and I'm good with that too. Any success stories with part-time roles as a non-partnership track attorney? |
