The PCSB just announced a Special Board Meeting for the afternoon of Wednesday, Sept 24. https://dcpcsb.org/special-board-meeting-september-24
The agenda includes Public Comment, then a closed session "Deliberate upon SY 2025-26 charter reviews and renewals". I wonder if something's going on or are they just making the review calendar. But I don't know why that would require a short-notice special board meeting... |

It hardly ever happens. More likely they are renewed with various conditions. Sometimes a low performing school will read the writing on the wall and voluntarily close or merge. For example it wouldn't shock me if Rocketship closed its lowest-performing campus-- the performance is really really low. |
