Tuckernuck NYC Flagship store opening

Ok, so the post for the Tuckernuck NYC Flagship store opening popped up on my FB news feed and I felt like I needed somewhere to discuss it.

It's genuinely impressive how much they have committed to an aesthetic that is so aggressively tall and thin, mostly blond, rich, and white. Even the violinist they hired fits the template.

It's like the opposite of woke posturing. I like quite a few of the dresses they carry and brands they feature and the new store looks beautiful. Unfortunately something about the whole marketing package just reminds me of the meanest girls in high school but 45 years old.

Yeah that’s the aesthetic they’re trying to sell. I mean, if it works can you fault them for it? I think we need to relieve ourselves of the idea that companies are anything but mercenary. The woman I know who loves tuckernuck is neither white nor tall but it’s obvious that aesthetic is aspirational for her. She wishes she were white and blonde and tall.

Every time I see Tuckernuck I think it's Untuckit and I'm confused. They sound/look too similar to me.
