Is covid going around in FCPS? If so, are kids experiencing symptoms or is it the same as before (most kids under 10 have no symptoms).

no one tests for it any more so no one would know if its covid or some other virus |
Kids under 10 definitely have symptoms. They are currently the highest age group for ear visits and hospitalization for Covid since August. |
Sorry ER not ear ^
Covid abd common cold are going around now |
You may not be testing, but people are still getting tested specifically when they’re going to the doctors because they can’t figure out what’s wrong with them. |
Do you know what symptoms? My kid (8y) had a fever, mild headache/backache, and fatigue last week and was feeling like old self within a few days. No nasal or throat symptoms. Previously had covid with no known symptoms. |
Sore throat, headache, runny nose. My kid tested negative day 2. Went back to school. For fun we tested again over the weekend and they were in fact positive although no longer showing symptoms five days later. |
I'm not feeling well and will test because I work with others and would prefer not to expose them, since it's certainly more unpleasant than a cold for many people and would knock them out for at least a couple of days. |
Thank you!! |
Yes its very high right now. |
Kid has Covid now. Tested at doctor office. |
Testing is still useful. Having kids mask when they're sick (whether it's a cold, covid, whatever) is more useful. |
My 15 year old has Covid symptoms and has been feeling terrible since last Friday but I don’t know what else to do except treat it like influenza |
Both Covid and HFM are going around in high numbers at my kid's elementary school. |
Paxlovid. It’s truly lifesaver |
