| Our ES BTSN is this week, and they have 2 sessions. I have 2 kids, does it matter which kid classroom I go first (6:00 to 6:45pm & 6:45 to 7:30pm)? Do you normally go to the younger kid first or older kid first? One kid I do have some questions for teacher, not sure if I should wait till the end of 2nd session to ask questions. |
| Does not matter. They cover the same content in both. The second session will be much less crowded FWIW. |
| Do younger one second because younger grades are usually more crowded and second session is usually smaller. |
| I would do second whichever one you most want to talk to. |
Goodness no!!! Do not be that parent that lingers after BTSN asking how little Larla is doing! This is not a time for a conference. Make an appointment if you have concerns but realistically it’s probably too early in the year for the teacher to provide meaningful feedback. |
This is why I loved that my school had Back to School Night on the Thursday before school started. There was zero chance of it turning into an impromptu parent teacher conference because I could literally tell the parent that I have no idea who their kid is. |
