My neighbor has a gopher that has destroyed her front lawn. Occasionally, the gopher surfaces on my property. I had 1-2 holes and had set traps and tried to catch it but without success. 99.99% of the holes are on the neighbor's property. I talked to her about it and she she told me that the gophers are coming from my property and "throwing" dirt onto her property. She also told me that she thought my husband was going to take care of it. She has a gardener btw, The holes are close to the sidewalk so I don't think traps are practical.
While it is possible there are tunnels under my property, the fact is, the holes are on her property. She is stubbornly refusing to do anything and all of the neighbors around her have gopher issues now. |
| Why are you guys arguing? Just let the little critters live. They're not harming you. They're trying to survive. |

| Is there a question? |
| I’m not sure what you mean by gopher…is it a mole or a vole? They are harmless except if you fancy bulbs like tulips. Tulips are irresistible to them. You’ll have to dig them up in November and replant in a wire basket. |
| Are you local to DC? There are no gophers here. |

Destroyed?
I think you're being extremely dramatic. |
| We don’t have gophers. We have moles and voles in these parts. They are beneficial. They eat pests and break up compacted soil. |

Trap them and remove it. Home depot has catch and release traps.
For moles/voles there are traps that will spear the rodent underground. Work well. |
