Pajamas to School

Anonymous
There have been various posts about the trend of teens wearing pajamas to school, but do you/would you allow yours to wear the set they actually slept in? Like, rolling straight out of bed and going out the door? Just wondering if this is a battle worth fighting.

Certainly not.

No

That was pandemic fashion, OP. Now there's occasionally a kid in PJ bottoms, but it's the exception more than the norm. When my kid went to school in PJs, they were clean ones she had selected that morning for school. It's been a few years now that she hasn't done that.

Ehh, I didn’t care. They’re in college and beyond now. Pajama pants were not something I cared about

Clean pair, not the ones slept in and only on pajama day in elementary school.

I’d tell them to change but by HS, not a battle worth fighting. The social consequences if they smell will change the behavior eventually. I actually wouldn’t know if they are doing this since I leave for work before them.

Is your kid 12 or 16? It matters.

Honestly I never knew if they wore the same ones. So I guess I didn’t care. I had more important things to worry about.

Yes! Not the hill to die on. Plenty of other hills.

I care. I feel like it’s a big step for me to be ok with pajamas! So, yeah, they need to put on clean ones in the morning. It’s the least they can do.

I’m very pro pajama but this seems kind of gross. Definitely not for my son—-he would smell. It’s possible I wouldn’t notice for my daughter I guess.

No pajamas to school at our house. Hard and fast rule. I don’t think high school kids even do that anymore.

They need to shower and change their underwear, but if they want to put their pajama bottoms back on, I'm not going to fight against it.
