What is the point of it? I saw something about being able to email teachers via Parent Square but can't we already do that via ParentVue and also via just regular email?
What am I missing? What are the other reasons we need to download Parent Square? |
| And why did we get rid of Remind? |
We did? I still get Remind messages from my kid's middle school even though he's now in high school. And when I go into settings and try to leave the school, I get "Internal Error". So frustrated. I downloaded ParentSquare but don't see any utility yet. |
We didn't. Remind (the company) was acquired by ParentSquare, so there will be a transition to the new site/app. |

Parent Square sends creepy AI voice messages about transition day. Such a waste or time. If you need that many forms of communication and staff to reinforce the school cake dar, it’s too confusing in the first place!
One more ding against Taylor |
| They're getting rid of parentvue in December and moving to parent square. |
No, ParentVue is staying. Remind is going away. |
| How on earth did MCPS manage before they spent $$$$ on EdTech? |
If only Chris Cram shared something useful in his communications, like a primer on the multiple MCPS platforms. Instead, all I get are emails and calls reminding me school starts Tuesday |

This is woefully inadequate. Are you an MCPS central office employee? Did you think this information contained even 20% of what parents need to know about these platforms? |
Not an MCPS employee, but the quick guides linked in this message do have useful tips. |
No, school starts tomorrow for many students. |
Incorrect. |
