| We had a line of trees trimmed back. They run along the side of our house. They also did some trimming along the back. It took about 2 hours and I think there was a crew of 4. Is this a job for which people typically tip? The head guy kind of dragged his feet leaving after I had checked out their work and it made me wonder. It hadn’t occurred to me to tip for something like this. |

Tipping is getting out of hand.
You state the work to be done. They state a price. If they do work, you pay their price. If they go WAY ABOVE AND BEYOND the work that was agreed to be done for the price, and you want to be generous, THEN you tip someone extra if you want. |
| No tip. I would pay the quoted price. |
OP here Yes. That’s what we did. I was just curious what others thought. My neighbor said she rips if she is home when they do the work. |
This!! +1 million |
| You don't tip yard workers. |
| No. No tip. Stop. |
| No. I pay the company. |
| How much did it cost you? (Nothing to do with your tip question) |
| I tip. What’s the big deal? Giving workers some cash to maybe get something to eat after doing physical work is not going to break you. |

Hell no.
Stop being stupid Americans. Why in the hell would you tip someone for doing a job they are getting paid to do? Do you tip the Amazon delivery guy for every package too? |
OMG, your attitude. Parachuting 50 bucks to the poors who can't afford food. |
