Hello,

Would anyone know - when do kids get their schedules and how do they get them?

Thank you.

Open house on Thursday

Online late Wednesday night or early Thursday via sis, schoology, etc.

Your kid will know to look when friends with older siblings start texting

Do the MS/HS kids get their schedules for the entire year next week, or just for the first semester?

FCPS does not offer semester courses in high school. High school schedules are for the entire year

Where the electives are not year long, you get them only for the semester.

Which ones?

FCPS struggles to match credits for semester courses for kids moving in from private schools and out of state because they don't have semester classes, except maybe personal finance which is self paced and online. Are any Academy programs semester classes?

I have never heard of a semester class in FCPS high school. They are all year long classes.

There are some matched classes- like psychology and sociology but they are considered one class and nothing changes mid year except the topic.
