The Oval office and the Rose Garden destruction are grotesque. But, when you look at old pictures of his apartment in NYC what he is doing perfectly fits his lack of good taste. Sadly, there is no one or organization in Washington in charge of protecting the White House from his bad taste.

That’s not true. The White House historical association could speak up, but they just endorsed his changes. Its head is a GOP, I used to work with him.

The fact that he was able to do this without pushback tells me anyone with an ounce of power and influence really doesn’t care. We have people in power who can stop stupid decisions but they don’t care about the country and its history. As long as they get what they need and have the funds to leave when the poop really hits the fan, he can pour gold plating over the entire White House and the Capitol, and no one would stop him.

Democrats should use this as a campaign issue! Cutting Medicaid, SNAP, FEMA, et al but spending TWO HUNDRED MILLION, $200,000,000, on a frivolous gold leaf decorated ballroom and children go hungry is a damn good reason to vote MAGAS out of office permanently.
