Is there any benefit to getting the paid subscription for LinkedIn?

Niece has been searching for employment for over 18 months. How do you network when you are 1 -2 years out of college? She has reached out to the career services at her school and has another appointment this week, but they mostly help with resumes (she already had it professionally done). The do have a job board, so that may narrow down the pool of applicants. Every job posting on the job sites show 100's of people also applying. How do you set yourself away from the pack? I haven't looked for a job in over 15years and when I was searching, I had multiple recruiters calling me every day. I want to be a help, but not sure how to direct her.

Aid subscription will not help her. It helps BD, recruiters, marketing folks. Not an entry level tool for job seekers.

Paid will help a lot if she uses training to get certifications and adds badges to profile. It also gets you up in the search engine and ability to directly contact people.

I would do the free one month and make the most of it.

No. It's expensive with limited ROI. Make sure she's got her Open to Recruiters notification on. That's available under the free version.

I think you can see who is looking at your profile with the premium. If not, you can only see how many people are looking at your profile. Useful if you like to see who is thinking about you...

They almost always have a free 30 day trial. She could just max out the benefits first 30 days.
