Is it like getting a flu shot, or do I need to schedule downtime after getting it? Would it be a mistake to get it this fall with my flu shot? Any experience appreciated.

It was nothing! I got it when I was 37-ish before a baby in our family was born (not mine). Had it done at Costco.
If you're going to get it with the flu shot I would just suggest opposite arms. |
| No big deal at all. |
| Nothing major that resulted in needing to adjust my schedule, but my arm was really painful for a month. |
| I learned a trick... if you massage the area vigorously for 5 minutes or so, before and after, that will significantly decrease any residual soreness the following day(s). |
| It made my arm very sore. |
| BAD? Huh? |
| What is TDap ? |
| It will give you a sore arm. That’s it. I have never had any other side effects and it is not known for having other side effects. |
Tetanus diptheria AND pertussis. |
| I've had a few (booster for timing and for each pregnancy) and never had any kind of symptoms afterward. |

How is it different than any other shot? I dont get it. Mine wasn't any different .
Do you normally have reactions to shots? Sore arm after? sure. That painful to "schedule down time" for the rest of the day? Odd. |
This. We have become so weak. Most pregnant women get it. |
| As someone who just suffered through fever and body aches from the second Shigrix shot, I definitely understand that some vaccines require some recovery time. That said, TDap was nothing. I didn't have any more discomfort than from a flu shot. |
| I got one about two weeks ago. No side effects. |
