Do school busses have a lot of fights?

I just moved here, my kid is in the northwest cluster. I’m scared to use the bus due to fights. Should I be worried?

I never heard of any fights in the bus and my two children have graduated in the past 2 years (though not at NWHS). Is this a common problem?

No. It’s someone trolling or someone clutching their pearls about sending their kid into the real world.

The answer to this question is: It depends.

It depends on the cohort of kids riding the bus, your bus driver/attendants, and school's administrative team.

I think fighting issues on the bus are the worst at the middle school level. I don't hear as many issues on elementary school buses.

Heat, yes. Not sure about AC but the windows open.

No AC
No fights

My kids took MCPS buses all thru ES, MS and walked to HS.

I did see HS boys fighting after school on people's lawns a few times. Whitman boys.
