HS Volleyball -- August schedule?

I remember when my older kid tried out for soccer - if you made the team, there was a scrimmage game that first Saturday after tryouts. Does anyone know if that is true for volleyball? We're trying to plan a family event. I'm assuming for kids that make the team there will be daily practice at an undetermined time for weekdays until school starts -- is that right?

Depends on the school/coach. If your kid makes the team you should plan on them having practices everyday except Sunday until the first day of school.
Missing preseason practices greatly hurts your child as that is when the majority of practices occur before the season/games start.

Thanks. That’s what I figured. I wish I knew the Saturday schedule for practices or scrimmages though—would be helpful to try to plan out other family commitments. Easier to put it in the schedule and cancel if kid doesn’t make the team then to have to shuffle our other kids’ commitments or our professional ones on short notice after kid makes the team.
