“Trump was booed while appearing on video boards during the playing of the national anthem before the match, and then later while walking out with Fifa president Gianni Infantino to present the competition’s trophy, individual awards and runners-up medals.”

Good! I hope it continues

The winning team was not about to let him be a part of the raising of the trophy.

Just waiting for the first MAGA to say it was just a few people who booed.

^ Meaning, the booing will be worse.

You mean to tell me elderly unfit presidents aren't popular? Go figure! This sounds familiar.

You post the same thing on every thread involving Trump. His age is the least of the problems associated with him. He is unfit for office mentally and morally and would’ve been unfit 20 years ago as well.

Because it matters. We need to learn from our mistakes. 20 years ago Trump was the same narcissist jerk he is now but he wasn't unhinged and in declining mental health. We should never elect Trumps at any age and we should never elect people who will be attempting to perform the most demanding job in the world into their eighties. You'd think this would all be common sense for everyone but we just elected consecutive elderly unfit presidents so let's not overestimate the intelligence of the American voter.

I get what you’re saying, but I think Americans have learned their lesson. I can’t imagine the same scenario happening again where we have to choose between two people in their 70s and 80s.

Fair enough. I'll stop harping about elderly age.

Yeah it's the lame ole bothsides - ignoring Trump policies that are hugely unpopular overseas. Where to start? They are unhappy with Trump's anti-European rhetoric, calling the EU "horrible" and "formed to screw the United States" and other slanders. JD Vance also dogpiled on the attacks on European values. They are unhappy with Trump's trade policies. They are unhappy with Trump's weak support for Ukraine and his lack of meaningful pushback on Putin. They are unhappy with Trump pulling out of the Paris climate agreement. They are unhappy with Trump undermining NATO. There's a lot more to it than "ehh he is old." Trump is one of the least-popular US Presidents in Europeans' views - behind George W. Bush, George H.W. Bush, behind Carter, and so on. Obama led the pack, followed by Clinton and Biden, as far as Europeans see it.

The opinions of American citizens matter most on this topic and Americans have viewed Trump, Biden, and Carter as the 3 most unpopular presidents in modern history in a bottom tier by themselves. Americans have valid reasons for these views.

This is how half the US population also see him. We have a lot in common.
