I joined Sixx Cool Moms because of DCUM snark, but it just seems…nice

DCUM is a guilty pleasure and I’m not going to lie—I love the ridiculousness and the drama as much as the actual good advice and fun/humor.

So I was intrigued by the posts about the Sixx Cool Moms FB group, and how awful it is, and how fun it is to read the comments and the drama.

What am I missing? Theyr’e just…nice. I’ve seen so many posts where people ask questions and get kind, supportive advice or answers. I’ve seen a few things that don’t appeal to me or are very promotional, but…it is a business for the people who run it, and they are very clear about that. I don’t get the DCUM judgment or hate for this group. It’s not even that interesting, and what I do see is pretty mild. DCUM is way more of a cesspool, in my opinion.

I think it's just that the woman who runs it, Jenna, is fake AF. It's all about making money and doesn't care that she has to lie to do it.

I think it's great and much more supportive. I don't see how she's fake. And what's wrong with making money? Everything on the internet is monetized now.

No. Never met her. I'm a 50 something lurker who actually knows many of the people who post there. And they are good people. Nobody's hiding behind anonymity. Including me.

It's been particularly supportive recently as many Feds and contractors lose their jobs. I know two families there , regular middle class families, that are seriously in danger of becoming homeless, and folks from Sixx will try to help. Unlike people here.

So if one person is making money from the group, fine by me. That's one more family who has stability right now. Because not all of us do.
